It is with great excitement and pride that we announce the recipients of the Model Mustang Staff Award for the month of November! This award is a tribute to those outstanding individuals who embody the qualities of a true “Model Mustang”; they inspire, lead, foster positivity, persevere, and excel in all that they do. Each Model Mustang was nominated by colleagues who took the time to acknowledge and celebrate their coworkers’ exceptional contributions to our district. Their hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for the positive impact they have within RSU 57! Click the link to view November's Model Mustang Award recipients. Today 4th and 5th grade students in Ms. Shopland's and Ms. McCarthy's class visited the outdoor classroom space on our nature trail and learned a little bit about tree identification. While on the trail, students also used skills learned in the classroom like measuring circumference of a circle, rounding decimals, division, multiplication, and data collection to estimate the age of trees along the AES trail. We observed some trees that were only about 4 or 5 years old and others that were over 100 years old!

On Thursday the 9th, Line Elementary School held its family-teacher conferences and our first Family Night of the year! Family Night was based on a lego theme; students played math games with legos and even got to pick a lego animal and related book to take home! We would like to thank the many families who joined us for conferences to celebrate student learning and Lego Night fun! Special thanks to Mrs. Wescott, Mrs. Kirk, Mr. Raymond, and Ms. Emery for making Family Night such a big success, and to our teachers for hosting positive, learner-centered conferences!
