Friday, students at WES attended an assembly to introduce WinterKids Winter Games and practice before the big WMTW Press Conference on Monday, January 6th! We are thrilled to be kicking off the Winter Games for the State of Maine!


The first MMS Ski Bus trip to Shawnee Peak is tomorrow, skiers and riders! Drop off your gear at the Event Entrance’s exterior locker room doors between 7- 7:30am. Have fun and ski and ride safely!

RSU 57 has been informed that the Maine Attorney General’s Office has released the identity of the individual killed in the officer involved shooting in Limerick on Friday, December 27th, as a 16-year-old student at Massabesic High School. Our hearts and condolences go out to all those touched by this tragic incident. Massabesic Schools will have counselors and staff available at school on January 2nd, when students return from the holiday recess.

All practices at MHS Monday are cancelled.

RSU #57 Review of the Budget Process For the 2020-2021 Budget
The RSU #57 Budget Committee invites the public to a presentation of the budget process which is being presented to the RSU #57 School Board on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 7:00PM, at the Alfred Elementary School at 21 Sanford Road in Alfred, Maine. During this presentation there will be an explanation of the budget development process for the 2020- 2021 school budget.

Making ornaments in Vocational Math class!



Lyman Elementary wants to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday! We had our third Lunch with the principal today and the kids were amazing.



Four 5th grade students at Lyman Elementary School, gave a readers theater performance of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, today December 20 to the entire kindergarten. They had worked on their performance for over a week. The kindergarten teachers were very grateful and proud of the students performance.

Watch for our new course beginning February 27: Preparation for the Math Praxis Test. Class will run for four weeks from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and include a review of the math content, practice materials and familiarity with the test format. If you need some test-taking strategies to pass the Praxis, this class is for you! More information in 2020.
