Lyman Elementary had a special guest reader in K on Monday! Taylor Lombard, a student at Massabesic high, who recently has been crowned USA National Miss New England Jr. Teen. Taylor read to the students about social skills and did fun activity about having big dreams. The students were great listeners and participants.
The RSU #57 Finance Committee would like to invite the public to a review session of the preliminary 2022-2023 school district budget. An overview of the preliminary budget will be presented as well as time for questions at the end of the presentation. The review session will be held in the Massabesic High School auditorium on Monday March 14th beginning at 6:30 pm. We hope to see you there.
A big THANK YOU to the Alfred Elementary & RSU 57 community for your tremendous amount of support with our carnation "be happy day" fundraiser! In addition to bringing in over $1,000 to our school, the carnations put a smile on all of our children's faces. A special thank you to Meaghan Huot and our PTSA for the huge undertaking required to plan, organize and deliver all of the flowers. Also a thank you to Top It Off Oil for donating all of the carnations that we were able to hand out!

We would like to provide you with an update regarding today’s school closure of the Shapleigh Memorial Elementary School. Law enforcement personnel from local and state agencies arrested Brandon Mahoney, 25 of Shapleigh late this afternoon. Based on this information, we will resume school services tomorrow, Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the many students, faculty, and staff who were understanding and supportive during this unfortunate situation. Student and staff safety is our first priority.
We are eager to welcome all students and staff back to school tomorrow.

The RSU 57 Nutrition Department raised funds to purchase gifts for children in need this holiday season!! Happy Holidays!!

Activity bus 1474 will not be running today. All students needing bus 1474 after practices should be going home after school on their normal bus run and not staying for practices or other events. Thank you
