Additionally, RSU 57’s “Backpack Program” makes food accessible to students at each school or on an as-needed basis through our . To schedule a time to “shop” the closet or to learn about additional supports, please contact Ms. Wakefield via email at meganwakefield@rsu57.org. Students who are experiencing unstable housing under the McKinney-Vento Act may be eligible to receive specifically requested items such as winter gear and school supplies. Students in PK-2 and 3-5 at AES had the opportunity today to visit with the author of "Fenway & Hattie" (our schoolwide book that we are currently reading for our "One School One Book" event). Students had the opportunity to learn about the author and how she developed her story. They also had the opportunity for a question and answer session. Students were so respectful, engaged and excited. I even heard a few say, "I want to write a book!"...that is the greatest response you can hope for when hosting an event such as this! Thanks to our RSU community & PTSA for making this experience possible!
