Athletic and Activities Update  2-28-22

Congratulations to Luke Cloutier who placed 5th at the State  Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 2 Mile with a personal best of 10:22.  Luke has qualified for the New England Championships that will be held Saturday March 5th  at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.  Great job Luke!

Congratulations to Isaac Boulard (106) and Nicholas Chenard (113) who placed 2nd in their classes at the Maine New England Championships Qualifier and wil head to the New Englands on March 4th and 5th!   Great work Isaac and Nicholas!

The BOOM Ice Hockey Team begins the playoffs March 2nd with a 5:20 game against Falmouth at the Falmouth Family Ice Center.   The JV Boom compete in the JV League Championship at the Casco Bay Arena Thursday at 8pm

Last Wednesday the Girls Varsity Basketball team fell to #1 Gorham 51-43 in the Regional Semi-Final.  The girls had an outstanding season and were a pleasure to watch!   Thank you to all of our players and coaches on an excellent season, you have much to be proud of.

Thursday our Varsity Boys Basketball players fell to Thornton Academy 53-48 also in the Regional Semi-Final.  Our boys had a great season and you made us all very proud.  Congratulations to all of our players and coaches on an outstanding season!

Congratulations to our swimmers for their performances at the Class A State Championship over February vacation.  Emma Hartigan placed 5th in the 500 freestyle and our relay of Emma Hartigan, Izzy Enos, Dakota Staples, also placed 5th in the 200 Free Relay.  Evelyn Soule-Parent  also placed 9th in the 100 Butterfly.  Great Job swimmers!

MHS Spring Sports Informational Meeting

There will be an informational meeting for all Spring Sports participants at MHS on March 14th at 6pm.   The meeting will be remote VIA Zoom and all athletes and a parent / guardian aare asked to attend. The meeting link is below.

Spring Season Registrations Open

REVTRAK is open for Spring Sports Registrations at MHS and MMS.  The link to sign up is https://rsu57.revtrak.net.   Please use a laptop or desk top to sign up as phones or IPads are not reliable to complete the process.

MMS offers the following sports.

Baseball- Grades 7 and 8

Softball- Grades 7 and 8

Boys Lacrosse- Grades 7 and 8

Girls Lacrosse- Grades 7 and 8

Outdoor Track Boys and Girls- Grade 6,7 and 8

MHS Offers 

Baseball-  FT, JV and Varsity

IMPACT TESTS- Concussion Baseline 

All incoming 9th grade students for school year 21-22 must have a new impact test completed for fall sports upon entering high school.

All athletes must have a current Impact Baseline test on file. There is a link to do baseline tests  at home this year. MMS athletes require a new Impact test each year. MHS Athletes require a test their 9th and 11th grade years or if they have not had one in two years or have never had one.

PHYSICALS 

All athletes at MMS and MHS must have current physicals on file with our school nurse.  Physicals are good for 2 years. All who have registered as of today have been contacted if a  physical is needed.
