The Lady Mustangs volleyball team rallied to beat Kennebunk in their home opener on Saturday 3 sets to 2. The Mustangs took the lead early winning the first set 25-13. Kennebunk battled in the 2nd to win 25-22. The third set went to Kennebunk with a final of 25-19.

In the best of 5 contest, the Mustangs dominated a must win 4th set 25-10 and went on to claim victory with a 15-9 final score for the fifth.
This is the second win for this team as they move to 2-1.
Offensively the Mustangs were led with strong serving from Bella Scott 12 aces 88% serving, Hanna Cram who served 92% and 4 aces, Stefy Lovino with 89% serving and 5 Aces and Abby Cummings & Lexie Salibury combining for 8 aces, Ava & Emelia a Theriault combined for 4 aces.
Lexi Salisbury scored on 7 kills & had 3 blocks followed by setter and outside hitter Naddie Bors with 3 kills, 7 assists, and 1 block. Freshman Emelia Theriault added in 7 kills.
The Lady Mustangs will host Marshwood on Monday JV 4:30/Varsity 6. They will also host Bonny a eagle Wednesday and Thornton Academy Friday before traveling to Gray/New Gloucester on Saturday.
As always, home games are played at Massabesic Middle School.
