MHS FH vs Gorham

Massabesic won 2-1 in OT.What an exciting game in Waterboro! Two evenly matched teams giving it their all; no one deserved a loss tonight.
Gorham started the scoring with 1:16 left in the first quarter when Brooke Farquar finished a hard shot off the top of the circle. Massabesic countered in the second at 10:18 when a nice shot from Emily Jacobs found the backboard of the goal. It was knotted at 1-1 for the rest of the game, as teams traded runs and the play only allowed 12 total shots on goal (8 for Massabesic and 4 for Gorham).
Gorham started with the ball in overtime, but with 2:11 left in the first Overtime period, Emily Jacobs stole a ball off of a 16 yard hit, sent it hard across the circle to her sister Micaela. Micaela passed to freshman Charlie Anderson who finished the game scoring her 7th goal of the season.
Lydia Suhy turned away 2 of the 4 shots and got a defensive save from Ella Donovan, while Gorham's Lauren Buchner saved 6 of the 8 shots she faced.
Massabesic heads to South Portland Monday.
