Job Opening - Part-time Gardening Instructor at York County Jail

The Massabesic Center for Adult Learning has the following vacancy for your consideration:

POSITION: Part-time Gardening Instructor at York County Jail

REPORTS TO: MCAL Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Background in agricultural gardening 

  2. Prior teaching experience preferred. 

  3. Comfortable in a correctional setting.

WORKING HOURS: Seasonal part-time days, 15-18 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversees the garden beds at YCJ.

  2. Provides instruction and supervision to YCJ residents while working in the garden.

  3. Provides a safe and comfortable learning environment.

  4. Maintains student confidentiality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
