Dear RSU57 Parents, Students, and Staff

Maine CDC has recently announced a significant stepdown measure discontinuing all contact tracing related to COVID 19. In keeping with Maine CDC guidance, RSU57 will also discontinue all contact tracing at this time.

Importantly, isolation and quarantine protocol will continue specific to COVID 19 as with other infectious diseases. Should you need to contact our school nurses after hours, you will receive a message offering general isolation and quarantine guidance and can expect to hear back from them on their next workday.

The school nursing team will remain focused on supporting isolation and quarantine protocol to ensure a healthy return to school and work for people affected by COVID 19. Commendations to our exceptional nurses who have worked tirelessly over the past two years to offer prompt, expert support through unprecedented challenges.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to navigate unique logistical challenges resulting from pandemic-related disruptions. Your vigilance with daily symptom screening prior to arrival at school is deeply appreciated in keeping our school communities healthy.
